R. Kohut, TERMO - A parallel iterative solver for 3D solution of nonstationary heat equations (2008). The solution of the linear system in each time step is realized by the conjugate gradient method with the preconditioning given by the additive Schwarz method with overlapping. The program code is parallelized with the aid of OpenMP paradigm.

R. Blaheta, O. Jakl and J. Stary, ISOL - A parallel iterative solver for 3D boundary value problems of elasticity (2008). The code follows the algorithm of the preconditioned conjugate gradient method and its parallelization is based on Schwarz methods and on a decomposition of the original domain into overlapping subdomains. The communication of parallel processes is realized by message passing given by the MPI standard.

Partly supported by the MSTeP project

Department of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, DR - Large-Scale Geotechnical Model (2004). The code computed stress changes due to uranium ore mining in the depth up to 1200 meters at the mine GEAM Dolni Rozinka (DR) in the Bohemian - Moravian Highlands (the Czech Republic). The computed stress changes are used for comparison of different mining methods in relation to a risk of dangerous rockbursts
